This course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR courses. Candidates are expected to have finely tuned first aid and CPR technical skills. Therefore, this course focuses on how to teach and facilitate first aid and CPR skills.
With this certification you would be able to teach the Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid, Emergency First Aid, Marine Basic First Aid, Emergency Childcare First Aid, AED, CPR C and CPR A as well as the recertification for all of these course.
Upon completion of this course, the final step in the certification process is to complete a Teaching Experience onlin module (30-45 min) and a classroom component with the support of a Teaching Experience Supervisor.

- minimum 18 years of age
- valid Standard First Aid certificate *
- successful completion of a First Aid & CPR Instructor skills evaluation with a Teaching Experience Supervisor or Instructor Trainer *
- successful completion of the Fundamentals of Instruction course *
- successful completion of the First Aid & CPR Discipline-Specific module *
