This Canadian Red Cross First-Aid course is ideal for those studying in the child sciences programs, daycare workers, parents, and grandparents. It meets all the requirements for First Aid and CPR training in a daycare setting and is recognized by the Provincial Child Care Licensing Board of British Columbia.

Material covered includes:

  • primary assessment
  • choking management
  • CPR (Adults, Children & Infants)
  • introduction to AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators)
  • shock
  • controlling bleeding
  • bone and joint injuries
  • respiratory problems
  • allergic reactions 
  • seizures
  • head & spinal injuries
  • diabetic emergencies


Certificates awarded on successful completion: 
Canadian Red Cross Emergency Childcare
Canadian Red Cross CPR level "C" and AED

Is recommended but not required
